The truth about Macedonians in Albania panics Bulgarian

The Bulgarian propaganda in Albania for the assimilation of Macedonians and the invention of so-called Bulgarians in the areas where Macedonians live in Albania can only succeed if all Macedonians are sold for a handful of gold coins given to them by the strange Bulgarians.

Macedonians live and will live in the areas where they have lived for centuries in Prespa, Golloborda, Gore and Vërnik. But let’s start by seeing how this situation came about today, where the Bulgarian state is working tirelessly to create a Bulgarian minority in Albania.

On March 3, 1878, after the Russo-Turkish war in which Russia won, for the needs of a wider sphere of interest of Russia, the so-called Bulgaria of Saint Stephen was invented by the Russian rulers, which included Macedonian and Albanian territories. This meant that Russia, as the mentor and master of the Bulgarian state, had the opportunity to extend its power much further than before. This goal of Russia was thwarted by the great European powers, which immediately convened the Congress of Berlin (June 13 – July 13, 1878) to revise the Treaty of San Stefano. Following the decisions of the Treaty of Berlin, Russia’s sphere of influence was reduced to Bulgaria, and the Macedonian and Albanian territories were excluded. Thus, the Russian project, which was never realized, was placed beyond international verification.

Despite this, the authorities in Bulgaria continue to dream the dream of San Stefano to this day and invest huge resources in the realization of the Russian project of the 19th century.

Historically, Bulgarian politics tried to establish its power over Macedonian and Albanian territories during the First and Second World Wars, but it was always on the side of the losers of both wars, so the renewal of the Russian project for the Bulgaria of St. Stephen failed.

However, the Bulgarian political elites did not stop living in the 19th century dream even in the 21st century. The goal of realizing the Russian project was revived in 2007. At that time, Bulgaria had to give up Russian mentors, for which it was rewarded with entry into the European Union, and European mentors began to wholeheartedly help in the realization of the Russian project in the Balkans.

One of the ways to achieve this goal was the idea of ​​Bulgarian politicians to assimilate Macedonians in Albania and present them to European mentors as Bulgarians. They spared neither funds nor emissaries for such a practice. They started with “hopeful” and easily manageable Macedonians, who were promised scholarships for their children to study in Bulgaria, with the distribution of Bulgarian passports to Macedonians who wanted to escape poverty in Albania, with intensive financing of the so-called foundations that generously spent on “gifts” for fictitious Bulgarians in the areas where Macedonians live. Such actions have only one purpose, to “prove” that Bulgarians live in the parts of Albania inhabited by Macedonians, and if they succeed in that mission, to explain to their mentors in the European Union that if Bulgarians lived in eastern Macedonia, Bulgarians lived in western Macedonia, it would be mandatory for them in Macedonia to be Bulgarians.

Unfortunately for the Macedonians, the Albanian government has also joined the story of the “fragmented” Bulgarians in Albania. Under direct threat from Bulgaria that it would block Albania’s path to the European Union, in 2017, in the Law on Minorities, the Albanian government added the non-existent Bulgarian minority to other minorities without any Bulgarians registered in any Population Census in Albania. Of course, such blackmail by Bulgaria was not mentioned by the Europeans, and the humiliating act of the Albanian government showed that Macedonians are just a card to be dealt. In this way, the Macedonians in Albania became collateral damage and an entry ticket for Albania into the “democratic” European family and a step forward for the realization of the Russian project of the 19th century.

After creating a favorable terrain for the assimilation and humiliation of the Macedonians in Albania, the next step was the continuous poisoning of the Bulgarian public with the “enemies” of the Bulgarians in Albania who do not want to become Bulgarians. At the same time, it became a practice to create as large a circle of foundations and media as possible that would be “spokesmen” for the protection of the Bulgarians mixed among us.

Considering that the Macedonians in Albania after the Enverist period clearly and loudly defended their ethnic origin, they began to organize themselves in their associations and, after a long work for the associations, the first Macedonian political party was formed, the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration. At the same time, numerous books by Macedonians with their memoirs and research on the life of Macedonians in Albania have begun to be published in Albania. At the beginning of 2027, we also opened the portal minorite.al which should publish the most important activities of minorities in the Republic of Albania.

The fact that there have never been Bulgarians in Albania was decisive, since from 1990 to 2027, not a single local Bulgarian association was formed and not a single book was published by a Bulgarian about the life and circumstances of Bulgarians in Albania.

And it is precisely this fact that is the main reason why the Bulgarian media is completely focused on humiliating and denying the activity of Macedonians in Albania.

Such is the case with the text on a certain portal https://www.actualno.com/balkani/panika-sred-makedonistite-zaradi-bylgarite-v-albanija-syzdadoha-nov-provodnik-na-propaganda-news_2556106.html whose title speaks precisely about their task. Specifically, the text “Panic among Macedonians because of Bulgarians in Albania: They created a new propaganda channel” says: “The Macedonian organization in Albania Ilinden”-Tirana, which is analogous to the unknown OMO “Ilinden” in Bulgaria and which is considered a marginal organization in the Albanian country itself – this week created a new website for minorities. The website is called minorite.al, which in Albanian means “minority”. The website was advertised at the beginning of the week by the Chairman of the Macedonian Association “Ilinden”-Tirana, Nikolla Gjurgjaj.”

Although the President of the Macedonian Association “Ilinden”-Tirana, Nikolla Gjurgjaj, himself stated that “With special pleasure I present to you my personal initiative minoritete.al the first national online media in the Republic of Albania, dedicated exclusively to national minorities”, the Bulgarian portal overlooks the fact that the portal is intended for minority activities in Albania. The fact that there is no Bulgarian minority in Albania and that this artificially created minority has no activity is probably due to the fear that the portal will have nothing to publish about the “newly created” Bulgarians.

At the same time, such portals do not hide their hostility towards the Chairman of the Macedonian party MAEI Vasil Sterjovski, so they use every opportunity, instead of reporting, to give their qualifications for him. For this purpose, of course, they use the newly created Bulgarians in Albania. Such is the case with Ervis Taluri, born and raised in Albania, by an Albanian father and a Macedonian mother, after a full education, financed and organized by the Bulgarian state – from secondary education to doctoral studies – today he returns to Albania as an “expert” on the Bulgarian minority, with the task of denying the Macedonians, attacking the Macedonian party and relativizing the truth.

And while the European mentors are silent about the bullies from Bulgaria in Albania, let them continue to help in the realization of the Russian project of the Bulgaria of St. Stephen. We have nothing to do with it, we are just emphasizing that with open threats against us they will not silence us and with their gold coins they will not buy us. Macedonians have survived and will survive!
